Gary Mingle
is the Executive Managing Director of Hamlin Harkins, Ltd. He possesses
more than thirty years of experience in corporate finance, focused
primarily in high technology. Mr. Mingle has held positions in finance,
information technology, and executive management in companies based
in the United States, Mexico, and Asia. His broad range of experience
in executive management and as a board member of private, public,
and not-for-profit companies provides him with the experience and
insight necessary to help client companies reach their potential
and maximize shareholder value.
Prior to joining
Hamlin Harkins, Ltd., Mr. Mingle served as CEO for Bostrom Corporation.
During his tenure, he successfully returned the company to profitability
and executed the seamless transition of controlling interest to
a stable, long-term management group. While at Bostrum Corporation,
Gary led the design and implementation of two discrete, large-scale
corporate information and accounting systems.
Mr. Mingle
possesses substantial start-up investing and management experience.
He co-founded a $30 million venture fund investing in operating
companies across a broad range of industries, including high technology
and manufacturing. He served as the funds Managing Director
and Chief Financial Officer. In addition to investment capital,
the fund provided consulting services to public and private companies,
including due diligence, deal structuring, and financial turnarounds.
Over the active life of the fund, deal flow exceeded $1 billion
in assets.
Mr. Mingle
earned an M.B.A. in Business and Finance from The University of
Chicago. He has an M.S.T. in Taxation and Business Administration
from DePaul University, an M.S. in Accounting and Management Information
from Ball State University and a B.S. in Mathematics from Indiana
University. Active professionally, Gary is a member of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Indiana and Illinois
Institutes of Public Accounting. Gary also serves as a board member
at DePaul Universitys Kellstadt Graduate School of Business,
Chicagos Engineer Society, The Boys and Girls Club of Chicago,
and as treasurer for the Chicago International Film Festival and
Steppenwolf Theater Company.
